Good point about Visio vs. Autodesk. But, Visio has been coming after AutoCAD very aggressively. (I happen to be involved in software relative to floor layouts, building designs, and data integration with those types of graphics.

At Architectural and Facilities shows, Visio shows up with the largest booth and the most glitzy software. They are not able to read AutoCAD drawings and do very neat things with them.

It will be interesting to see what MSFT has in mind for Visio.

Btw, as I recall, Windows 3.0 (or 3.1) included a free copy of Visio when it was first introduced. That's how they got me hooked on the product.

codawg, my finger slipped. It thought I was going to say "vision" and did not stop with "visio".
