chas, it is disingenuine (sp?), to imply that my analysis is based on some small company not doing well. i cited ingraham micro, the WORLD'S LARGEST PC DISTRIBUTOR AND MORE THAN THREE TIMES LARGER THAN DELL. pc prices dropped 3% in august. you know why dell and gtw are working so hard? the main reason is that their prices keep falling. oooooh, and component prices aren't falling anymore. that is gonna hurt margins. let's see... what is the easiest way to increase margins? reduce dram.
