Caxton,

<< HDR high data rate. I would expect Sprint to be the first next year. >>

Is there a specific range (speed) associated with HDR as this term was used in the conference?

Caxton: The test bed for HDR is clearly Japan. There is every indication that Japan is moving first to equip the operating systems to supply the necessary for HDR and provide the phones which can us it. This is chicken and egg simultaneously. Place to watch IMO.

Sprint will probably be first in US, but if Bell Atlantic and Vodaphone do reach agreement on a nationwide system, that new venture could come up fast on the outside on HDR.

Bell Atlantic has been the most progressive of the Baby Bells in wireless CDMA, and Airtouch likewise in its area of operations IMO.

The rivalry there will be very good for CDMA and the Q if Bell and Vodaphone bury the hatchet and get together.

Best.

Chaz
