Dear Roger, I run Windows at home. And it crashes, constantly when I try to run more than one application at a time.

The reason my husband decided to switch to Solaris is because Solaris is "secure". As I understand it, Solaris does not have all the bells and whistles that you can get with LINUX, but Solaris is secure and stable.

Right now, my husband doesn't have the time to keep LINUX up and running.

He chose Solaris because he's got an engineer who can troubleshoot any problems that he may have with Solaris.

Of course, this does NOT mean that my husband will not learn as much as he possibly can about Solaris. He has his nose glued to his $40.00 Solaris manual now. He's addicted to manuals!! We've spent a small fortune on computer manuals!!! And we can not deduct their cost from our income taxes!

Good Luck,

Mephisto

PS:He paid $10.00 for a disc that has Solaris and the new Star-Division Operating System on it.
