Hey, thanks for the very thorough reply. As I'm mostly a position trader (usually several days to a week or two) your turf is quite unfamiliar and mysterious to me. But we're all faced with trying to determine which variables (and derivatives thereof) actually mean something that we can make $$'s off of. I'm sure this all looks like black magic to a widows/orphans type.

Anyway, if a tick volume chart starts to flatten out, doesn't that kind of mean the trade size is getting smaller - ie, the little guy is starting to come in to take the proverbial bag?
