SALT LAKE CITY--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 16, 1999--Intelliquis
International Inc. (OTC BB: INTQ), a premier provider of personal
computer and Internet software, today announced it has received an
international order for 1 million copies of IntelliFIX 2000,
Intelliquis' software-based year 2000 solution.
Full details of the agreement will be disclosed within 90 days,
once the order has been filled. The basic terms of the agreement
require that Intelliquis ship 1 million copies of its IntelliFIX 2000
Y2K scan and repair product to an international technology reseller,
and includes a completed fulfillment target date of Dec. 15, 1999.
Intelliquis has already begun initial fulfillment of the million-unit
order to its client.
According to Mark Tippets, Intelliquis' vice president of sales,
the agreement demonstrates the strength of its Y2K technology.
"This is the second million-unit order Intelliquis has received
in 1999, which shows how well the company's Y2K solution has been
received in the technology marketplace," Tippets said.
"Orders on this magnitude reinforce Intelliquis' position of
having a strong product that offers a comprehensive hardware fix for
personal computers, as well as bringing users' operating systems and
software applications into Y2K-compliance."
IntelliFIX 2000 includes a self-booting software utility for
diagnosing and repairing all levels of impact in PC hardware,
including BIOS and CMOS real-time clock. IntelliFIX 2000 also includes
software for testing and repairing a PC's operating system, which
includes DOS and Windows 3.1/95/98/NT, and also scans and repairs
application conflicts and software programs.
The newest version of IntelliFIX 2000 includes an improved data
scan and repair feature. The feature searches through spreadsheet and
database files in programs such as dBase, FoxBase, C/C++, Lotus 1-2-3,
Microsoft Access, Word, and Excel, among others, and replaces
two-digit date information with Y2K-compliant four-digit dates.
IntelliFIX 2000 also offers users information and suggestions on how
to bring their systems into Y2K-compliance.
Intelliquis' Y2K technology recently received a Level 5 rating in
Solace Consultancy's Millennium Test report -- the highest possible
rating in the report and the only technology tested that received the
Level 5 designation. Its IntelliFIX 2000 products compete in the same
marketplace as Symantec's (Nasdaq:SYMC) Norton 2000, Greenwich Mean
Time's Check 2000 and the McAfee (Nasdaq:NETA) 2000 Tool Box.
Intelliquis' products can be found in a variety of retail outlets,
including Staples (Nasdaq:SPLS), CompUSA (NYSE:CPU), Beyond.com
(Nasdaq:BYND), Digital River (Nasdaq:DRIV), Micro Center, Fry's
Electronics, Egghead.com (Nasdaq:EGGS), Hastings Books and OfficeMax
(NYSE:OMX). Intelliquis IntelliFIX 2000 version 5.0 is now distributed
to resellers through Ingram Micro (NYSE:IM) and Navarre (Nasdaq:NAVR)
and through direct channels.
