Bacterial vs Viral

Sinusitis is usually denoted as a bacterial infection.
Green drainage. Tx is antibiotics. For chronic sinusitis
a small biopsy can be taken to get a better picture of what's going on. Don't worry, the needle isn't too long <g>. There is growing evidence that chronic sinusitis is
caused from fungi. Not fun being eatn' alive by a mushroom...lol.

Viral colds cause clear drainage and a scratchy throat.
Tx is Zicam.

Bronchitis can be either bacterial or viral, but usually
bacterial. Tx is antibiotics.

What brings on the common cold?
Usually stress, not enough sleep and exposure to the cold
in this immunosupressed state. Students are very prone to
colds during mid-terms and finals. I think a Zicam marketing campaign in College Book Stores would be great.

Hey, give Zicam a try and tell us your response.
