But there are explanations for each of these things. The Sphinx was likly carved only as a head, from a natural outcropping of stone. At the time, it was on a verdant savanna. At a later date, the approaching desert and erosion had eaten away at the surrounding landscape, and the rest of the structure was built. Even later then, the head was recarved into what it looks like today, ever notice how small it is compared to the body. Stonehenge takes a level of mathematics on par with pre-golden age Greece. A fairly advanced stone age civilization, but not a far stretch for the human mind. I've read a little of Sumerian mytho's. It's good reading. And, I agree, it is the basis for many of the myths and parables written down by the Jews in the Torah. But there is no evidence (that I've heard of) proving or disproving any of these myths. Here is what I agree with. There is alien life. I have no doubt about this, it is statistically impossible for it not to exist. The debatable point is whether or not we have been visited. IF there was a theory for faster than light (FTL) travel that worked, I would agree that we had been visited in the past. If only because Earth took so long to devolop sentience. But there is no theory. As far as the science community is concerned, it is impossible to move mass FTL. So, it is unlikely that we have been visited by outside life due to the massive nature of the galaxy. If we were closer to the center, maybe, but not way out here on the rim. The number of stars within reasonable travel distance from earth is so small, that it is highly unlikely that intelligent life would come here. (reasonable being 100 LY) Now, I there are some monolithic and megalithic enigmas. Easter Island is the best example. The inhabitants did not have the economy nor agri-structure to build so many structures over such a short period of time. Do you know of any FTL theories that I'm not aware of? Or of other unexplainable structures like Easter Island? *Isn't there a physicist around here somewhere?*
