Billions of Buddhists, Muslims, Christians and Jews have been duped! This includes scientists, Rhodes Scholars, Nobel prize winners and chess geniuses! All duped!

Hard to believe we're in the presence of the smartest human on the planet.

Hmm well maybe not the smartest human, but the smartest set of humans. Of the four groups listed : Buddhists, Muslims, Christians and Jews - only Christians count Bill. The others have been duped but thank god the christians are helping them out by posting the ten commandments and encouraging prayer in school etc.

People all over the place are figuring it out.

Look at the last 2000 years. For the first 1500 religion and royalty reigned supreme. If you wanted to better your lot, you got down on your knees and groveled, and hoped the next world would be better than this one. Then we had 400 years of questioning and rebellion. In the last century royalty went on the trash heap forever and religion was relegated to the sidelines, rusting in peace, stripped of any direct influence on human affairs.

Now compare the relative rates of human material progress during those periods. There is a hell of a lot we can do for ourselves once we get off our knees, stop supplicating, and start thinking.

And despite the various messes of the world today, the average human has a better chance of living a long, comfortable, and healthy life today than at any time in the past.

Perfect, no. That means we should keep trying, not crawl back under the rock from whence we came.
