Chaz, Mika, All I'm glad that I have continued to keep
my "jaws from flappin" , and waited for you to sort this out. :-)
I sometimes adhere to the adage that it is better to
keep your mouth closed, and appear stupid --- than
to open your mouth and affirm that you are..

It looks like the only two likely candidates for the Q's
phone division would be Philips and Siemenns (have trouble
spelling that last one).

Perhaps a little know fact, is that Philips is currently
working with a small Canadian company (Wi-Lan) on the implementation of new technology called w-OFDM, which
by the way may pose a threat to, (or supplement) CDMA
Technology.

I think that it would be in Q's interest to consider a
partnership / agreement of some kind with Philips.
Perhaps the current flap over IPR rights with Philips
is a part of the required ritual dance that seems to
preceed negotiations.

Kind of reminds me of the Qualcomm / Ericsson ritual
that ended just a short time ago.

With my sincere apologies for wandering off topic ..
After all this is the Ericsson thread.
Oh yes, slightly On Topic ... I understand that Wi-Lan
may hold a patent that could be a part of a future
W-CDMA system.
And Yes, I own a few shares of Wi-Lan (win.al) .

Re Ericsson's management ... I don't understand Ericsson's
management.
Ericsson's failing stock price seems to indicate that
that management is letting down Ericsson's loyal
employees and stock holders.
I hope that this will be corrected soon.

Best of luck to all,
Mardy.
