MikeH a great point and the essence of the " evolution v. creation " argument:

What I never have heard is a good reason why free-floating proteins formed cellular life.

and

It really is a "black box" as how this happened, and IMO one of the best indicators of divine existence.

This is the great point lost by so called " evolutionists ".
They just cannot as scientists claim that cellular organisms evolved through random natural selection, unguided so to speak and then turn around and give us beady-eye look
when it comes to explain life before that.

What is so arrogant of these so called " scientists " is that they completely disregard the great scientific minds
of the past that were atheists to begin with, firm believers
of we came out of nothing and then in their later lives converted to a Divine design.

One that comes to mind is the great British Mathematician and Philosopher, Sir Bertrand Russell, Professor of Mathematics at Oxford University; author of multiple treatises on logic and statistics etc etc who converted to Christianity at age 75+.

Shouldn't High Schoolers in the USA learn why B.Russell did that?

I read once that the first indications of cellular life come about 1 billion years ago.

And that cellular life came about and died off at least twice before it took hold.

What I never have heard is a good reason why free-floating protiens formed cellular life. I've heard the evolutionist theory about parasitic, and
para-sympathetic protiens, working togethor. But that just doesn't click with me.

It really is a "black box" as how this happened, and IMO one of the best indicators of divine existance.

I am not aware of any total extiction of all life scenarios (once life had achieved cellular structure).

Latest findings show fully functioning unicells 3.9 BILLION years ago. It's not established for damn sure (even if it's cast in stone, lol) but if true it is a pretty hot potato. There just wasn't TIME to go from lava planet to unicell in a hundred million years or so.
