Dan I take offense at your describing this thread as a cult. Rather that describes the atmospher surrounding the GUMM thread. GUMM supporters are all lathered up about prospects of a NEJM article and about making a me too nicotine gum for somone else to market. From a valuation standpoint Those two things don't justify 60-70 mil in market cap that is currently built (in excess of what the base business may be worth) into GUMM.
You hang your hat on those two things to justify a long position in GUMM. On top GUMM has a history of dissapointing (as do most small cap story stocks.......as the purpose of the story IS to draw investors in and the more the small cap can be overvalued, the more money management can get) as they will here.
GUMM's nasel spray isn't a whole lot different than HITK's, exceptiong that HITK's has been around.

A real company with real cash, earnings, book value, customers, track record. Of course with things like a p/b of 1.28, curr ratio of 3.6, p/e of 12, p/s of .97, roa of 8 and roe of 12 and no debt, this company is real, stable and doesn't need to inflate their value. They are undervalued, and just keep churning out cash. Typical family run outfit that thinks in terms of generations.
Well, the problem I have with your constant rosey views of GUMM is the odds are heavily stacked against gumm in the long haul, you may know that and be savy enough to read the turning of the tide and bail before you loose much, unfortunatly a lot of your fellow shareholders don't understand the risk with gumm because no one it presenting a balanced view.
Are you motivated to overrepresent one side of the story by greed or stupidity?

The only cult mentality that exists here is your obsession with GUMM and your fanatical crusade to counter any suggestion by Wexler or others that it is a good short. Personally, I couldn't care less about GUMM one way or the other since I've never had a position (and I couldn't care less if you believe ME or not). From a technical standpoint, I would NOT short it now, if you must know the truth. What I object to is the fact that you and Howard seem compelled to dominate this thread with discussions about GUMM. Bill makes rec's on a lot more stocks than just GUMM. Comment on them, if you can. Otherwise, take your obsessive/compulsive shill behavior to the GUMM thread where it belongs (and where I or anyone else would be if we really gave a rats ass about GUMM, short or long).
