Point? I think the internet *is an OS. All of the services are a function of Unix I know, but as far as I'm concerned, I'd rather flick on a switch and see instant browser than wait through a desktop boot process (yet alone one running Scandisk).

It's Sun's in that 80% of it runs on Sun gear, and Sun is all about IP and open standards.

In the context of "given the bandwidth" which was my preface, everything about the internet is free from the killer ap (email) on down.

I think this is an example of how the internet becomes the OS, from SUNW point of view. Lets not forget that "The network is the computer." I'm not really a tech person, but I think Expresso Man explains it quite clearly to Little Grasshopper. Here is the url:
