TL,

IMO I would say that consumer adoption of e-mail is a great example to use. Five years ago the public didn't know what e-mail was, today if you don't have an e-address people look at you like your crazy. I would imagine that e-bill and e-money will have the same type of adoption.

OT BTW I shaved my head fresh for SI and you didn't show, I shave it every two weeks, so it was no big deal, but I thought it would be good for laughs.

Take care,

Rob

"And I do....however all of them are playing a conservative IF on the consumer adoption via Portal. Which leads me to believe that if that is good to excellent...the stock goes bonkers in price."

Agreed. I'll go a step further and define "good to excellent" as being not necessarily more than simply what CKFR management has forecasted: 5 Million subscribers by FY end.

Now, they forecasted this number in late June, the question is: Has their 6/30/2000 subscriber forecast changed since then? More specifically, has it gone lower due to possible changes in the timing of portal rollouts over the period? I don't think it has gone higher. At least not yet but, it could with better than expected adoption rates at Yahoo and Wingspan over the coming weeks and months.

<<<Anybody beside me into bonkers CheckFree stock pricing

Count me in!! A couple of thoughts on analysts conservatism.

1) They've been burned and may be a little gun-shy. I'm not condoning it, if you believe in something say so! But I kinda understand why they aren't going crazy with the targets, it's easier to have upside surprises.

and

2) What they say publicly and privately are not necessarily the same. They certainly aren't being negative and they just might talking privately to there valued customers and giving them some time to accumulate at lower levels.

Anyway, I'm well prepared for some bonkers run-ups. Bring em on!!
