Both exchanges have been in a rotation, fairly predictable so far within a channel of sorts. The Dow has already rotated down and is testing trendline support.

If the Nasdaq follows suit, which it has been doing, it still has a nasty, torturous drop in store (along the lines of it's recent corrections).

That's a drag because most (not CS) tech stocks trade on the Naz and even those that don't...tend to be affected by it's movements.

The Dow while an indicator of sorts, is somewhat superfluous, I'm much more interested in the Naz and even the NYSE for that matter.
