Here's my question.
I'm Singapore, and I want to make the play to be the South east Asian regional currency,I go down in the basement and start the currency printing press.Next, I go to the Swiss and the Imf. I say I want to exchange new Singapore dollars for all the gold you want to sell. All Singapore dollars printed in the future, will be backed by gold. You give us the gold and take our dollars, on the agreement you will not flood them on the market. You IMF can use our dollars as aid to Asia countries, they will use these for regional imports and trade. This relieves pressure on their U.S. DOLLARS to pay foreign debt. You Switzerland can on a regulated basis exchange your Singapore gold backed dollars for other currencies in a stable manner. In this way we can develop our regional currency and still maintain the stability of the Singapore dollar during transition, through YOURS AND THE IMF's release of Singapore dollars to the market. S.E.Asia has an independent currency good as gold, you solve your dilemma over the mobilization of your gold assets.

Could this be done, impossible? would would happen to gold price? what would happen to Singapore dollar?
-thankyou-mike
