ADBE..I consider myself a long term holder of ADBE and have quite soundly 'touted' it on the thread in the last few weeks, and I only did that with INTU before this. I just exited twice in the last few weeks before corrections. Secondly if ADBE had not gone down that much yesterday, I would have had second thoughts on the AMOUNT of shares I planned to buy but I had every intention of holding ADBE. Thirdly I DID NOT hold VRTY through earnings although I really had a lot of signs that it would follow through its remarkable 'week before earnings' since it was not overbought. Lastly I have had ADBE as a successful earnings play for the fifth season already and I happen to love the companies products. Although I like ORCL as well, I did state that I thought ORCL was overbought and ORCL is notorious for having 'extreme ups and/or extreme downs' and I've experienced one of each. I was very skeptical about BBY and CC because of the sector's behavior in the last few weeks and BBY did show my skepticism had a strong basis. CC I waited for earnings to come out, not daring to get in either. You look for 'technical signals' and you add a little element of experience. I have held only 20% of my trades this month through earnings that's about 5-10% less than usual. And those trades were NOT high profile stocks in the tech sector except for INTU which was and did very well.
