I don't know. I don't follow the technical stuff. But I don't believe the DOW or S&P will do much if people believe Greenspan will raise rates in October.

You never know though. As you mentioned, new money was added to mutual funds, and if the markets pull back substantially, then people may begin to buy.

Some analysts believe that foreign money will find its way into the US markets as we get closer to the new year because investors from other countries believe the US will handle Y2K better than China, for instance.

We are not alarmed by Y2K problems here. Do you have fears about Y2K?

PS: My own stocks have held up well. I doubt that even Floyd could hurt Sun, Cisco or EMC.
