Just to follow up on the Sprint vs. Mark 1 lawsuit... Sprint traced the spam to a local ISP account in the Florida area opened with a credit card belonging to the grandfather of 17 year old Matthew King. The Sprint lawyer who handled the case told me King claimed the credit card had been stolen. How Sprint got from the grandfather to the teenager and whether King was ever found using the account himself was never officially explained as the case was settled with Mark 1 and King simply agreeing never to use Sprint for a similar stunt. If anyone wants to try to find the case, it was filed on 11/9/98 in U.S. District Court in Kansas City, Kansas, and entitled Sprint vs. Mark 1 Industries and Matthew King. Seems to me that if Mark 1/Foodvision has done this three times now, they are not innocent third parties in all of this. - Jeff

...the same spammers who are responsible for the MKII email spam may have also emailed spam concerning WSPN, INKT, ENDV, PDCI, IDFR, INFE, ISMR, SUNN, IRTG, CICG, ALCH(?), CRON, EOPT, and RRRI. ... SUNN (Sunmark Industries I Inc) is the previous symbol for MKII (Mark I Industries Inc) which in turn now goes by the symbol FVSN (Foodvision.com Inc). Thus this company is in the dubious position of having been spammed either by email or via SI under all three symbols.
