I think people are concerned, but after facing the ravages of 1-2 hours in commuter traffic, both ways, on a Tuesday voting day, many just say "The hell with voting, there is only crap running".

But, that is not my main reason for making voting easier. I think the dynamics might change if more people voted. If 80% of the voting public would start casting their votes, we may see less "special interest backed" candidates and more "main stream" candidates.

The political powers and special interests don't want to make it easier for people to vote.
