Bill,

I am an underdog supporter.

Understandable and laudable when rooting for a sports team or even AMD. Not smart, however, to let your emotions rule when investing. Hard facts and the bottom line lead to financial rewards, and, more often than not, it's the big dogs who'll get you those rewards. They became big dogs for a good reason. If you base your investment decisions on wishing and hoping, you'd be better off playing the lottery.
