AMEX/TSE:LGF Billy Zane (``Cleopatra,' ``Titanic') will star in a four-hour miniseries based on Dean Koontz's chart-topping suspense novel, SOLE SURVIVOR, it was announced today by Tom Patricia, President, Lions Gate Television Pictures. Production will begin in Vancouver on Oct. 18, 1999. ``Bringing Dean Koontz and Billy Zane together makes a television event, ' Patricia said. ``I am delighted to be working together again with Dean Koontz and FOX Broadcasting.' In SOLE SURVIVOR, Zane plays a former crime reporter haunted by the plane crash that killed his wife and daughter. When he discovers that there may have been a sole survivor, he also finds out that a deadly and bizarre conspiracy will stop at nothing to keep the true facts hidden. Koontz is one of America's favorite authors.
