Looking into HDR and attempting to ascertain the development in this area, I came up with some basic understanding of where it seems to be going.New paradigm will be created ,ushering huge changes as the carrier networks change from switching technology to packet-based technology. The change will be massive integrating voice, data and wireless. No doubt this is the hallmark of what Wireless Knowledge is working on.This is why QUALCOMM is no doubt working with Cisco Systems to build a better IP architecture intergrading wireless with the internet. The backbone of HDR will be built on packet switching. The need for speed will eliminate CDMA's competition and thats why the World Telecom Union will elect CDMA the 3G technology of choice before 2000.
