Because Jill... 1. All the old timers had a cozy little thing here. We met at annual meetings, talked tech, said nice things to each other. 2. Q took off. 3. Arrival of new people. 4. Arrival of some not so nice people who flamed. 5. It was hard to get through all the silly posts. 6. Ramsey departed for more boring, but efficient pastures and started a new post within a plain box. 7. Mq felt sorry for people like me who missed all the old times and set up a "we be fun" Q thread. 8. Now people can be silly with old pals, meet new ones in the old Q place, and get ignored in the new Q place. All which is good for personal growth. Sorry if I confused you. I'm confused myself. Nice to meet you though. BTW this post would NOT be allowed on the Boring Q thread, ok here, and encouraged on the Mq thread...I think. Rick <H>

Once upon a time............................................ (Like the original beginning?) I'll try to be objective and serious. It sounds like you need a response bad. 1. Someone wanted all the news on one thread. (Effiency) 2. Someone(s) didn't like reading non-serious posts. 3. Someone still wanted outlet for non-serious posts. If you're really bored, go to the beginning of the "new 500" thread and read it's infancy, and then read the same time frame with this thread. Pretty nasty stuff. As for my kind of post in response to your Q-uestion... It's Q-uestions like yours that started the new thread! : ) Not to mention about 1,000 other responses. ............And they all lived happily ever after...(Q split 10 times, and 10 more threads were started!) Too windy for you? Hope not.
