Frank, let's say you own 5000 shares of BIDS.

Now, let's suppose you call your broker tomorrow and tell them you want immediate possession of your 5000 shares certificates....

Now after a lengthy discussion in which your broke attempts to discourage you from making such a request, he must then concede to your demand for the certificates (since it is your legal right to possess those certificates)....

Soon after you hang up the phone your broker will frantically scramble to replace those missing share certificates which he loaned to a buddy (low-life) of his who was shorting the stock.

Now let's suppose a few hundred investors simultaneously call their brokers' tomorrow, now what do you suppose will happen????

a) Share price increases
b) Many shorters losing their pants (who the heck would want them in the first place?)
c) No more short positions in BIDS (Good-bye Yorkton..Canaccord)
d) GoNorth is accidently pushed out of his 30 story office window by his work colleagues
e) All of the above

.

By the way, Frank, do you think GN has broken any Guiness records for the number of posts made here on SI?

Do you think he has also broken any Cogliones during his stay here?

interesting theory frank, good to see your still around.

i just heard a couple of new rumors and they're ALL good...soooooo...
i'm back in again for the short term. two different sources this time and one day apart. never have been one to ignore multiple sources (personal experience has left me angry at myself more times than i care to remember - it's always worse when you miss one isn't it?)
anyway this situation should come to a head this week sometime. till then - p.
