Hi, Tony. Can you believe I didn't include you in my listing of the Q100 Club last night. I must have been brain dead <g>.

Lindy Bill is in charge of arrangements, as he lives closer to San Diego. Last I heard, he was waiting until after the earnings report on Nov. 2 before he started polling for attendees. If there are no rooms by then, we can always stay at his house and drive down for the meeting; right Dancelot <vbg>?

Tony, All,
I spoke to someone at this afternoon's meeting who indicated that Paul Jacobs simply confirmed that the company was planning on selling the handset division by end of year, no "done deal" just yet (but impression it would be accomplished soon i.e. within a week or two) and explained same reason for sale as outlined yesterday in the NY analyst meeting. In summary, it sounded anticlimatic in wake of yesterday's news, and most likely intended to assuage employee's fears, particularly after the ruckus concerning infrastructure sale. The most interesting thing I learned was that the decision to sell was made quite recently --in the last couple weeks. I'm meeting with some Q employees within the hour and will provide additional information if any is new or insightful. BriHack
