***OT***Glad to see all the positive Mac talk...I hassle with PCs all day long on the job (systems integration) and come home at night to my Mac...have owned nothing but Macs since '86...

Did you know that the new G4 with its Velocity Engine is officially classified as a supercomputer? It cannot be sold to certain restricted countries...true.

I agree with Fish re: Norton...it runs great on a Mac but tends to foul Windows.

You can empty your cache through your browser, too..it will be under Preferences in Edit. And of course, nothing beats a good reboot as a way to fix 95 of 100 problems.

thanks. Kaliico did address this and i did become aware of this while i was installing my new video card. problem seems to be freeing up ram and video ram when a window is closed and constantly eating more memory the longer the pc is running even without opening more windows. even now i have only 2 windows going and i have only 36% GDI & SYSTEM resources and 64% USER resources available. and again, this is with 160meg ram and 16meg video ram. windows just does not give back and wants more, more, more. (and i have no more to give...or will not..enough is enough. pox on ms...sorry about the babble. i'm at my wits end. and it aint a very long wick.)
