Dave B..the memory producers could have said "WE'LL build something better in Dec 1996..and 1997..1998..1999..." But they have NOT built anything Better than RMBS has already.

Dave B, I can't believe that you took all that time to type out that long message which just amounts to a big NOP. You're trying to tell me that dram makers have a choice when Intel says that they are only going to provide support for Rambus and they have almost the whole market? That's a choice???????????? If they were providing a choice they would provide two versions of Camino one supporting Rambus and one supporting Sdram and support each equally well. Then the whole industry could make the choice. You and others on this thread (including now MKilloran) are constantly claiming that Rambus is wonderful. Why could it not stand up to real choice and win?
