Susan, you can sell the option anytime you want. Time will start to eat away at that premium as you get closer to the strike price and date. It will then trade about dollar for dollar with stock.

oh...susan..don't do options unless you have paper traded them and understand them!!

What did you pay for them...?

You can trade them at anytime like stock trading hours...you should think about sell 1/2 of them today if you have a good gain since you don't realize what animal you are playing with, IMO.
