I believe tlab is under pressure due to institutions concern that some of the others will develop tech that will make tlab equipment no longer competitive. These guys go day to day vs. long term and don't want to assume risk.

Perhaps, puff pieces on prime time TV showing Chambers handing out candy to employees really does puff up the P/E.

Perhaps, size does matter.

I own CSCO, be nuts not to. Own 4X more TLAB.

"Just Observing", for the very reasons you mention--- a higher growth rate accompanied by a lower P/E, DLJ Direct research recommends Tellabs as a buy in preference to Lucent.
