ok, Mr. DD, here's one for you... A smart, savvy friend of mine works for a hot firm that's going public soon (next month?) and will be on the NASDAQ as ITXC (Internet Exchange Carrier). I'm going to establish a small position because I trust the guy's prospects and because I can get in early, but I don't pretend to be able to evaluate adequately the firm's proprietary technology nor its financials. Clearly, it's a shiny pebble AT BEST; conceivably (they hope, at least!) a DITR. If any of you smart guys care to delve further and give the company a real scrubbing, I'd love to hear what you think... Their website is www.itxc.com tekboy PS From an early version of the prospectus: "we are a leading global provider of high quality Internet-based voice and fax services. Our network and proprietary software allow our customers to capitalize on the convergence of the traditional telephone network with both private and public data networks, such as the Internet. ITXC.net, our actively managed network that is overlayed on the public Internet, delivers high quality voice communications over the Internet and other data networks. As part of ITXC.net, we have established ITXC facilities in the U.S. and have arrangements with affiliates outside of the U.S. to place and complete telephone calls on our network. We believe that ITXC.net provides our customers with the cost savings of data networks and the global reach of the Internet and provides us with a platform for delivering additional value-added services. We intend to continue to rapidly deploy ITXC.net on a global basis by taking advantage of the growth of the Internet."
