Wayne - there have been a lot of really slow days the last couple months and somehow they managed to play turtle then. Probably just the luck of the draw in terms of the people I got reviewing the trades today...I wouldn't expect any permanent change (ha.. I wish) but today was a really pleasant surprise...

Of course, after (a) having my ISP totally messed up this AM and (b) running out of coffee at about 11:00am... well it wouldn't take much to make me happy!!<gggg>

Here are the nanoid daytrading predictions for tomorrow.

TSE 300 Index 7080 +/- 11 cents.
MCF - well they're saying $5.50 range +/- 19 cents- hmmmm. (Well they were off about 50 cents today - they were calling for $6.10 and let me down - geez you'd think they'd know about the big resistance at $6.50!!!)
ATY - $17.80is +/- 40 cents (Personally I'd expect ATY to cool off or even fall back a bit for a day or so while things consolidate... we'll see)

I'm going to let these 3 populations continue to breed overnight - should get a few hundred more generations and mutations in - and see where they net out.

I'm taking suggestions for stocks to run them on. Maybe we could have a thread "mascot" stock. If people post suggestions I'll tally them. A few guidelines though - volatility they can handle fine as long as the volumes are reasonable (ie. CRY they haven't worked to well on in terms of standard error). They need at least 2 years of history without any stock splits during that period.. adjusting for splits by halving prices or doubling historic volumes really throws them for a loop. It will likely take a week before their standard error approaches something reasonable (ie. 2%) - running in the background 24 hours a day for the first week... these little suckers are computationally intensive. They only predict one day in advance.
In keeping with the thread, the stocks should be Canadian, high volume, volatile day trading type stocks over $5.00. At the same time, I'd like to keep the stock price under say $40ish... so that I can afford to trade it too - without having to put all the eggs in one basket!!

Anyhow, just an idea if people are interested... it might be a fun "game"... although it does sort of go against the principle of "no predictions on the thread".... let me know. If it got out of hand I suppose we could always start up a separate thread down the road ... the "techno trading thread" or something??? Maybe we need a call from the Chief on this one.
