Believe share holder of GBLX and FRO vote on 22 and 23 Sep respectively. Please don't quote me. The vote is next week and the deal should close by the end of Sep.

Contrast this to the Qwest/US West deal scheduled for shareholder vote in Nov. I see that alliance as the competition.

We must remember that GBLX is a carrier's carrier. ATT is already a customer of GBLX according to Thursday's news articles. US West/Qwest do not have a fiber running into Europe or Asia. Their combined network, although quite advanced, is all domestic (US). I think that is one big reason carriers will opt for GBLX's system.
