Intel is scheduled to debut its chipset that supports Rambus on September 27. However, companies such as Dell and Hewlett-Packard apparently will not have systems ready for several weeks. Typically, PC manufacturers have products in the pipeline when an eagerly anticipated technology is first released

dell has found rmbs max advantage comes with the combination of
camino + rdram + coppermine + windows 2000.
ideally dell would like to start with the complete package.
looks like they are going to wait a coupla weeks for coppermine. that gives them 3 of the 4.
windows 2000 is supposed to ship end of this year...then the package is complete.
i read the final w2000 beta version shipped yesterday.
