I have to admit that I feel pretty defeated at the moment, and I'm guessing that others feel the same way. Had I not lived through ASND's decline (and reversal), I probably would have sold by now. What is it about me that gets into these situations?

H&Q's market perform rating, even though neutral, had some nice points about NITE, and then later on CNBC Jeffries' Art Hogan and another guy from Briefing.com were both positive on NITE.

Unlike with ASND at the time (which had alleged faults in some of its equipment, among other things), analysts aren't criticizing NITE management. This is more a matter of external forces (ECNs, seasonal volumes), things that should be resolvable (as regards ECNS, H&Q anticipates "peaceful coexistence" or some such thing).

It ain't fun, and I wish I were just now starting to look at investing in NITE. But given that I feel that I would very much like the opportunity to buy in at this level (for the first time), I can't see selling what I already have.

Micron had different problem then. Stock hit 90 and they were expecting next years earning estimate of $ 7.50 which never materialized. Also on it's way down MU had to go out and borrow money to keep up with operating expenses and was also forces to abonden new chip plant. Look at MU now... no earnings and still at 75. Does not make sense. So NITE with no debt and visible earnings of 17 times at 2000 earning does not make sense. Stock will rebound once the hype is over with ECN.
