fotheroz: IMHO, the politicians want it easier for people to vote, the easier the better. If it's easy enough then everyone will vote. That will mean all those potato heads who get everything from sound bites on TV will negate those voters who dare to think for themselves. That will ensure that only the Pols with the big bucks will stand a chance. For that reason, I'd rather see it made more difficult to cast a vote...I'd also like to see literacy tests once again.
