A number of encouraging things have come to light in the last 24 hours. 1st the comment by the white knight indicating the potential value of this play at $120 billion dollars. 2nd, the point in the press release that spudding will still be in this quarter. 3rd, the point made about the potential find being double the previous estimates. Finally, if you go to the project Ekho site, there is a commentary under the project info button that you will have to read. It gives further information about the previous drills that were done between 1948 and 1974. This is the most direct comments made yet on the subject. My favorite part was this, "These wells all had one thing in common: they'd struck oil in thick intervals of these hydrocarbon prone Miocene-era sandstones, but had failed because of high resovoir pressures and challenging formation conditions could not be controlled". Then they go on to say that the results of the previous deep wells that Tri-valley studied led to the conclusion that they were taking a low geological risk to pursue the play. Now we have a better picture of the compelling nature of the data at Tril's disposal and the reasons for such an agressive way in which our small company leased up so much land. Hat's off the management! You know, this play keeps looking bigger, and risk keeps getting smaller with each passing day. This is truly a remarkable story.
