Thanks marc. I did email RIG, but as yet have received no reply.
Perhaps they're laughing at my email and saying "We're a Cayman Islands Company now, and the IRS is Not our problem no more, missy!!"

I posted on the tax thread as you suggested.

Why am I the only one wanting to get this straight?
Granted, RIG stock is over $5, and the market cap is larger than
that of UJDLB (Uncle Jimmy's Drilling and Live Bait), so RIG is not the kind of company usually talked about here.
--But there must be somebody besides me still around who buys and holds these old going-nowhere dinosaurs long enough to be concerned about this tax issue.
