The depth of your ability to be irrational is astounding. You jumped to a conclusion immediately that this was a hate crime. This guy was a clear mental case, who poured concrete into his toilets, kicked in his neighbors doors, beat on his father, etc. He was a loose cannon, ready to go off. He was probably looking for any large group of people to kill. A hate crime is one where a particular class of people is targeted, and it is planned out. There is no hypocrisy.

I think that you are upset that this doesn't fit into your "liberal media conspiracy" theory.

<<Del, the depth of your ability to not see the hypocrisy is astounding. If this had been a shooting in a hall filled with the following people: Homosexuals, African Americans, Jews, Native Americans, or even liberals, Janet Reno would have immediately called it a "hate crime". No further evidence would have been needed. That's because when you deal with the motivation of a crime, instead of the behavior, there is always a heuristic judgement to be made if the person kills himself>>

Im not of the opinion that the media is slanted one way or the other. It has been my observed opinion that the media really doesnt care, as long as its a juicy story they can spin out of control for a couple of days. Or months, even better if possible. <g> But I must admit that it is a glaring omission of habitual zeal on the part of the media that they are not spinning this event as a "hate crime." Especially since its the catch phrase of the moment.
