Probably because of some short covering, it's getting close for most of the short sellers. They know the CO. is not going to fold and once they reach the time limit for long term capital gains they will cover. I also noticed an insider purchasing some shares on the open market, about 4000 shares I believe. All we need now is some good news and the stock will soar. Good Luck Mike

Susan, We are coming to the end of the quarter. Only 10 days come Monday. The potential for a pre-announcement becomes greater now. Some buying would be on the anticpation of an announcement or the upcoming 3rd quarter results. Vivus has definately been moving in the right direction, albeit slowly slowly for those of us waiting. This could be the quarter that we make a significant step up. Over the 6 level would mean we are on our way. If it isn't this quarter, it won't be too many more.
