Robert Barry, first of all, I never sucked up to get any job. If that was required for promotion, etc. I'd find work elsewhere. I have seen it happen at various places where I worked. but I chose not to participate.

The employers don't tell employees to go to the same church, but those employees that suck up usually get nice jobs. I am surprised that you haven't seen this at your job.

I go to a small neighborhood Christian church that does not get involved in political issues. The first time a pastor tells me who or what to vote for, I'll be out the door. That's not what I go to church for.

Your skills and my skills might be "good enough" but I still disliked seeing stupid decisions made by ineffective management, who got to their positions thru the bosses pew, tennis court or bedroom.

I disliked seeing stupid decisions made by ineffective management as well. That's why I'm self-employed.
