KG4,I repeat, 'the easy money has been robbed'. Story
gets OLD day by day. Competition gets crowded day by day
and NO limits. WS has to keep pushing new products to keep
making money (more e-that and e-this and b2b and s2s
day by day).

The advantage of being e-tailor or e-anything dimishes
as 'revolution matures'.

The early entrants (ebay,amzn,yhoo...) would say, thank
you very much, you guys/gals have been great. With your
free support, we are real merchants in five years.

Brand?

eBay has THE brand - these others are wannabes.

A lot of people thought Amazon was going to kill eBay.

Didn't happen. Won't happen.

Can these others knock eBay off its perch?

Yes. But they will have to spend, spend, spend.

I just listed my first auction on MSN Auctions. I'll report back in two weeks to let everyone know how it did.

>>Their "mass appeal" will attract both sellers and buyers

What mass appeal? 70,000 listings is 1/10 of Yahoo's, 1/40 of eBay's.
