George, to restate (a long past post), IMHO,a major part of the current "problem with the gold market" is also the "problem with the defense industry". The greatest single demand for gold actually consumed(with near no chance of recovery) is used in mil-spec electronics in every form of electro-mechanical contact point with special note given to Naval use in the sea air environment. When again we have a defense industry we will again use up gold, nothing is better. Baring that, when the population of India gets to critical mass - watch out! The bodies of every remaining short fool will litter the ground.
