Here, on the left coast, we have GTE cable installed by LU. Streets were a mess, yards trenched, but rather fast install. Cable is great, they now offer cable modem service. Use a LanCity modem, which is one of the few that is 10 MB(think that is the right unit) on both the up and down link. Works great most of the time, once in a great while will stop all data for a few minutes, longer once, but still great and only $39.95 plus fees per month. Using a phone modem, need a second line (about $25 per month) and an isp ($200 per year). No password, always on, no squealing and whining.
