It is interesting, we will take a look at what they've got.

Historically, Systech is a pretty big cash register hardware & software reseller/integrator/VAR, hence the buzz about them being in "Retail Technology". I would expect that Systech will be distributing the eStation unit, but neither Systech nor eStation will enter the business of creating "content" for the eStation to display.

In other words, eStation is not competition for EZYShop; but is a device we should look at, as a possible future alternative to EZYDepot/EZYShopper/Paymaster/whatever we're calling it this week.

But even before doing any research, I have pretty high confidence that the eStation device has a price tag a whole lot higher than what we build EZYDepot's for.

Some of us have been pushing the idea for some time, that we need to build a next-generation EZYShopper next year, using a PC engine and web technology. Depending on the cost we can build it at, it may only be for higher volume locations, or it may 100% replace the current EZYDepot. But we will not even begin that project until next year, when we have some revenue flowing, and more cash on hand. And when we do start that project, we will look closely at eStation and other choices, and go through a "make versus buy" analysis, before again committing to design and build our own device.
