You are right Ned -it is getting predictable -but you really should try to predict more than the timing of news releases. It is the content that you need to predict.
As far as the price -all week Canaccord has been holding the price at 14 -14.5 cents in anticipation of the lawyers finishing up on the oversubscribed private placement. They did this by having a sell of 11000 shares all the time at 15 cents and a small buy at 13.5, a larger one at 13 and larger still at 12.5. This was in place for the entire week -even when trades went thru at 15 cents -that 11000 on the sell always reappeared. 11000 is a good number since a 5000, 10000 and 15000 order will usually leave enough to keep the ask at 15 until another order can be set up.
People investing in the PP basically bought the stock at the equivalent of 8 cent due to the warrant provided the stock goes up. The timing of the stock going up is the interesting part. Private Placements have restrictions on the sale of stock -in this case it is several months. Canaccord does not want the stock to go up until the PP goes thru -and then they will obviously not get really excited about the stock price until a couple of months pass. I would expect a steady climb in the price as soon as the PP closing is anounced and I would also expect a good stream of news.
Yes things are predictable Ned - but you should be trying to figure out how to make money off that predictability. JP
