today the XAU's candle already looks like a little hammer...and the dollar, while it gained a bit against the Yen, lost ground against the Euro, for a small net loss in the DXY. it made a small indecision candle and is still below the 50-ema. note how much wind was made on CNBS today over the little retracement in the Yen...they talked about nothing else on CNBC Europe and the Yen bears were really out in force. to me it looks like a retrace to the breakout point on the LT chart...we should go no lower than 108 or thereabouts and then resume the climb. i concur with you that the Yens retrace and the slight rally in the bond could bring out sellers that are sitting on losing positions and are looking for an opportunity to get out. the bond future is precariously perched just above it's lows. note how the rallies in the bond have lost momentum of late, as if it were preparing for the next leg down.
