Why it is important to be cautious going forward. Read
comments about October, 10 - 15% correction etc.. I don't
know for sure if it will really happen. But I don't
want to be the one to get caught. Be careful with October
call options or short puts.

My guess, car point will be sold.

I'd be amazed if they sold CarPoint (but, then again, I was surprised that they sold Sidewalk). CarPoint seems central to their current consumer web strategy of providing transaction services.

If Ballmer is making an announcement at a public event, I'd expect it to be something far more bullish for MSN than a sale of yet another strategic asset. I think we'll see either a purchase of a similar or complementary web property, or a strategic partnership with someone like Ford that will make it even easier to buy cars through CarPoint.
