Indeed, many bears forget that the current asset values in Eorope, Japan and US have a premium due to the socio-political uncertainty in the rest of the world relative to that in the developed world. This premium cannot be justified by economic grounds and so will collapse as soon as the poor countries become smarter to create stability. Countries like China, India and Malaysia deeply understand this issue of stability and have followed shrewd policies that the standard market economists cannot fathom or rationalize with their tunneled vision.

I have no complaints about the exchange rate between Rs and USD. Each time I visit India, I can replace my entire wardrobe for under $250! -g-
