Hey! Who said this would be "easy"? :-)

My comment about Coppermine top speed was made under the assumption that there would be no other design in the pipe, i.e., Coppermine was Intel's flagship product for the entire life of P858. If one assumes that there will be another design alternative, the speed I specified on Coppermine would not be necessary, and the resources to achieve absolute top performance would most likely not be expended.

<And unless they get there by mid 2000, it may be too late. I haven't had access to the .25um Athlon or .18um Coppermine physical cross sections YET.>

I am looking forward to your comments when and if you are presented with these opportunities. If any MOT ".18" x-sections fly across your desk, I'd be interested in your comments on these as well.
